Dr. Kamal I. Bohsali, is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon with advanced skills in the treatment of pathologic conditions of the shoulder and elbow. Dr. Bohsali completed the prestigious Shoulder and Elbow fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio and has published articles and book chapters on the treatment of shoulder arthritis, massive rotator cuff tears, and proximal humerus fractures. His current interests include the treatment of rotator cuff arthropathy (massive rotator cuff tears with shoulder arthritis), proximal humerus fractures, shoulder arthritis in the young patient, elbow arthritis, elbow trauma, and upper extremity peripheral nerve compression. He is fellowship trained in the use of the reverse shoulder prosthesis. He currently serves as an active member of the AAOS Upper Extremity Subcomittee and Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Bohsali's joint replacement and arthroscopy skills enable his patients to receive advanced orthopedic care with the goals of pain relief, restored function, and improved quality of life.
